Relist stale eBay and Etsy listings as new stock
4:55 · Watch on YouTube
Relaunch Listings shows how long every piece has been on sale on Etsy and eBay, then ends a tired listing and publishes it again as new stock.
On Etsy the new listing goes live before the old one ends. This video also covers refreshing the price and wording, automatic relaunch with a dry run, and Recover on eBay.
About this video: The screens are the real Artifactly app, recorded on a demo shop with made-up stock. The voice is computer-generated.
Questions this video answers
How do I relist an old Etsy or eBay listing as new?
Relaunch ends the tired listing and publishes a brand-new one from Artifactly's own photos, so it lists as new stock. The card says what it does: see how long every piece has been on sale, then end a buried listing and publish it again as new stock, on Etsy and eBay.
Is it safe to end and relist an Etsy listing?
A brand-new Etsy listing is built and put live first. Only once it is confirmed live is the old one ended, so if anything goes wrong, the original stays up and still sells.
Can relisting run automatically?
It runs once a day and relaunches your stalest listings for you, and it stays off until you turn it on. Tick Etsy, eBay, or both, to switch it on. Dry run, ticked to start with, only reports what it would have done.

0:00What Relaunch Listings does
This video covers Relaunch Listings, for pieces that have sat on sale too long. You find it on Inventory Control. The card says what it does: see how long every piece has been on sale, then end a buried listing and publish it again as new stock, on Etsy and eBay. Press it to open the Relaunch window. Relaunch ends the tired listing and publishes a brand-new one from Artifactly's own photos, so it lists as new stock. There are two tabs, Etsy and eBay, because the two work differently.
0:40Etsy: new listing first
On the Etsy tab, the yellow guide explains it. A brand-new Etsy listing is built and put live first. Only once it is confirmed live is the old one ended, so if anything goes wrong, the original stays up and still sells. Etsy charges a new listing fee for each one. Below the guide is the list of your Etsy listings, the ones listed longest ago at the top. The demo shop has nothing on Etsy, so it says No Etsy listings found to relaunch. Here is what you see when you have some.
1:15Days on sale and Ready
Above the list, On sale for filters it to All, thirty, sixty or ninety days and more. An item whose listing date is not known yet is always shown, so nothing is quietly hidden. Each row shows how many days it has been on sale: green, then amber from forty-five days and red from ninety. Then the SKU, Ready or Not ready, the title, the price, how many photos, and a link to view it on Etsy. Ready means Artifactly holds the item's photos itself, so it is safe to relaunch. Not ready means the photos are still stored by the marketplace, and ending the listing would lose them, so it cannot be ticked. An amber bar then offers Copy photos to our storage, which is safe to run at any time.
2:08Refresh the price and wording
You tick the items to relaunch: ten at a time on Etsy, and five on eBay. Once you tick an item, a section opens above the list: Refresh the price and the wording before it goes back up. Change the price by a percentage or by pounds, with a minus sign to lower it, and round it to the pound or to end in ninety-nine pence. You can also tick Rewrite the title, or Rewrite the description, and say what the AI should lead on. It writes only from what the item already records. Show me what would change puts the new words next to the old, and nothing is saved until you press Save these changes.
2:52Automatic relaunch
Further down is Automatic relaunch, folded away on purpose. Open it, and it shows Off. It runs once a day and relaunches your stalest listings for you, and it stays off until you turn it on. Tick Etsy, eBay, or both, to switch it on. Dry run, ticked to start with, only reports what it would have done. Skip items with watchers leaves those alone. Each tick saves as soon as you make it. Stale after is forty-five days to start with, Wait before repeating is sixty days, and Most per day is five. They cannot go below fourteen days, thirty days, and one a day. And if you switch it on with Dry run off, a red warning says it will end and recreate real listings every day without asking.
3:48eBay relaunch and Recover
Now the eBay tab. Here the order is the other way round. eBay only relists an item that has already ended, so each item is off sale for a few seconds. Items with bids, watchers or a sale in progress are refused automatically. Start with one, and watch it. The eBay tab also has Recover, at the bottom. If a relaunch is interrupted and an item is left off sale, the window says so in red, and Recover puts it back. If nothing is stranded, it says so.
4:23Relaunch or Cancel
Along the bottom you see how many items are ready and how many are ticked, then Cancel, and the Relaunch button, which names the marketplace and the number ticked. Cancel, or the cross, closes the window without relaunching anything. If you did relaunch or change something in it, Inventory Control reloads its own list of pieces as it closes. Closing never pulls anything from Shopify. The next video is Shipments.
