Checked against eBay, Etsy and GOV.UK pages on
Artifactly suits UK small businesses that sell unique or second-hand stock, such as antiques, vintage and pre-owned goods, across eBay, Etsy and their own Shopify or WooCommerce shop. It is not the right fit yet if you sell many units of new stock, need Amazon, scan barcodes, or have several staff who each need a login.
eBay, Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce directly, plus an optional Google Merchant Center feed, with prepared copy-and-paste listings for other marketplaces and social channels.
You write the product once, with its photos, description, price and stock count, and send it where you sell. How each channel is reached, and what happens there when the item sells:
| Channel | How | When the last one sells |
|---|---|---|
| eBay | Direct; fixed price, Good 'Til Cancelled; one eBay site per account (UK by default) | Listing ended |
| Etsy | Direct; needs an Etsy category and your processing and shipping profiles | Listing removed |
| Shopify | Direct, to your own shop | Product archived |
| WooCommerce | Direct, to your own shop | Product set to draft |
| Google Merchant Center | Optional product feed | Not covered on this page |
| Vinterior, Pamono, Chairish, Selency, Ruby Lane, LAPADA, Decorative Collective, LoveAntiques, The Hoarde, Selling Antiques, Selling Antiques Lite, Antiques Atlas, Hunt Vintage, Artsy, Antiques.co.uk, Vinted, Styylish (US site) | Ready-to-List: a prepared listing with one-click Copy All, or a CSV | You mark it sold there by hand |
| Facebook Marketplace, Instagram | Ready-to-List, one item at a time | You mark it sold there by hand |
| Vinted and 1stDibs | Coming soon (Vinted is waiting for its API; until then Vinted is Ready-to-List) | Vinted: by hand for now |
Sales on eBay and Etsy are checked about every 5 minutes. One price is shared by every marketplace, and titles are shortened to each site's limit rather than rewritten. The app marks Poshmark as closed in the UK. For a closer look at the two biggest channels together, see our guide to cross listing between eBay and Etsy.
One-off stock first. Artifactly was built by a working antique dealer, with a team of developers, for pieces you have one of, though it does keep a stock count for items you have several of.
The AI that drafts each listing has instructions written by working dealers for antiques and vintage: furniture, ceramics, glass, silver, art and prints, clocks and watches, jewellery, lighting and general collectibles. That is where it saves most time, because every piece needs its own description.
For items you hold more than one of, the stock count goes down on the other sites when one sells, and the listings stay live until the last one goes. Two marketplace rules to plan around:
If your range is built on sizes and colours, test it in the trial before you commit. Etsy allows variations on up to 3 attributes, and this page does not claim that variation listings carry across cleanly. Stock counts are also not brought in when you import from eBay or Etsy, so set them after an import.
Artifactly is built around writing and publishing listings for individual pieces, not around warehouse stock, so it has no Amazon connection, no barcode scanning, no team logins and no accounts export.
That makes the choice fairly simple. Weigh up what your business actually needs against what Artifactly does today:
| You need | Artifactly today |
|---|---|
| Listings written for you from photos | Yes: the AI drafts title, description, category, dimensions and condition notes, and you edit them |
| eBay, Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce from one record | Yes, direct |
| Specialist antique and vintage marketplaces | Yes, as Ready-to-List |
| Amazon | No |
| Barcode scanning | No |
| Several staff logins | No, one login per account |
| Xero or QuickBooks export | No |
| Cost price and profit tracking | No |
| Bulk changes | Bulk edit of category, status or price, up to 500 at a time; bulk AI description rewrites; CSV export |
If the "No" rows are the ones you need, a tool built for warehouse-style stock will suit you better; check those tools' own sites for what they offer. If you are moving the other way, Artifactly's spreadsheet import recognises exports from Linnworks, Veeqo, Sellbrite, Vendoo, Crosslist and Nembol, as well as from eBay, Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce. You can also compare cross-listing tools side by side.
Not today. In practice each Artifactly account has one login, and there is no way to invite a colleague.
For a sole trader that is rarely a problem. If you need separate logins with their own permissions, for a packer or a part-time lister, Artifactly does not offer that yet, and it is better you know now than find out after moving your stock in.
The Global Shipment Manager handles the shipping side: compare courier rates, generate packaging labels and packing slips, produce customs declarations and commercial invoices, and send live tracking updates to buyers.
What it does not produce: accounts. There is no Xero or QuickBooks export, no cost price or profit tracking, and no VAT margin scheme stock book. Keep those in your accounts software or with your accountant. Artifactly does have a unified inbox and buyer records, which help with customer service, but they are not a replacement for your books.
GOV.UK says you must register when your total taxable turnover for the last 12 months goes over £90,000, and its page also covers what to do if you expect to go over it.
Read GOV.UK's VAT registration page for the full rule. Two more points for businesses selling second-hand goods:
| Threshold | What it means | Source |
|---|---|---|
| £1,000 a tax year | The trading allowance | GOV.UK |
| £1,707 or 30 sales a year | eBay reports your sales to HMRC | eBay UK |
| About £1,700 or 30 transactions a calendar year | Etsy reports your details to HMRC | Etsy |
| £90,000 over 12 months | VAT registration | GOV.UK |
A platform report does not by itself mean tax is owed (GOV.UK). Artifactly does not keep the margin scheme stock book for you, so that record stays with you.
£19.99, £39.99 or £74.99 a month, set by how many products you keep and which tools you need, after a 14-day free trial with no card needed.
| Plan | Price | Products |
|---|---|---|
| The Curator | £19.99 a month | Up to 250 |
| The Dealer | £39.99 a month | Up to 500 |
| The Showroom | £74.99 a month | Unlimited |
Your own Shopify or WooCommerce shop and Ready-to-List start on The Dealer, and payment is taken in the app through Stripe. Against that, remember the selling fees on each site: on eBay UK, for example, business sellers pay a final value fee by category plus £0.30 or £0.40 per order and a 0.35% regulatory operating fee (eBay UK). See full pricing.
It is built for one-off antique, vintage and second-hand stock, so some standard multichannel features are missing today.
If eBay is your main channel, the page for eBay resellers goes into eBay's fees and rules in more depth. Or browse all seller types.
No. Amazon is not supported, and neither are Depop, Mercari, Whatnot, Grailed, Vestiaire, TikTok Shop or Discogs. If Amazon is one of your main channels, Artifactly is not the right tool for you yet.
Yes. All four are direct connections. When the last one of an item sells, the eBay listing is ended, the Etsy listing is removed, the Shopify product is archived and the WooCommerce product is set to draft.
Artifactly can send an optional product feed to your Google Merchant Center account.
Yes, by spreadsheet. The import recognises exports from Sellbrite, eBay, Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce, Linnworks, Vendoo, Crosslist, Nembol and Veeqo. You can also import directly from eBay, Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce and pick the items by SKU.
Not today. In practice each account has one login, and there is no way to invite a second person.
No. Artifactly does not keep the margin scheme stock book, cost prices or profit figures. Keep those in your own records or accounts software.
No. The Content Engine makes carousel images and written posts for X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, which you download and post yourself.
Yes. Every new account gets 14 days free with no card needed to sign up, and you do not choose a plan until the trial ends.
