Checked against eBay, Etsy and GOV.UK pages on
Artifactly is for UK business sellers and regular resellers who list on eBay and want the same stock on Etsy, Shopify or WooCommerce without typing it again. It is not for you yet if you are a private seller clearing your own things, since eBay charges you no final value fee, or if you mainly sell on Vinted or Depop.
As fast as you can photograph an item and check a draft. Artifactly's AI writes the title, description, category, dimensions and condition notes from your photos and notes, and you check and edit it before it goes to eBay.
The slow part is the typing: a title that fits, a description, the right category and its item specifics. That is the part Artifactly drafts for you.
Be clear about what the AI is good at. It runs on Google's Gemini, with instructions written by working antique and vintage dealers, covering furniture, ceramics, glass, silver, art and prints, clocks and watches, jewellery, lighting and general collectibles. If you resell modern branded goods, fashion, records, toys or trading cards, expect to edit more of each draft, because the AI has no specialist instructions for those.
Yes. Artifactly connects directly to eBay, Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce, so one product record publishes to all four, and it prepares copy-and-paste listings for other sites.
| Channel | How Artifactly reaches it | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| eBay | Direct, one click | Fixed price, Good 'Til Cancelled; needs your eBay business policies; title cut to 80 characters |
| Etsy | Direct, one click | Needs an Etsy category and your processing and shipping profiles; up to 10 photos and 13 tags sent; title cut to 140 characters |
| Shopify | Direct, one click | Your own shop; the product is archived when the last one sells |
| WooCommerce | Direct, one click | Your own shop; the product is set to draft when the last one sells |
| Google Merchant Center | Optional product feed | Sends your products to your Google Merchant Center account |
| Vinted and antique marketplaces | Ready-to-List: a prepared listing to copy and paste, or a CSV | You mark it sold there by hand. A direct Vinted connection is coming soon |
| Facebook Marketplace and Instagram | Ready-to-List, one item at a time | You mark it sold there by hand |
Two rules shape this. First, one price is shared by every marketplace; Artifactly has no separate price per site. Second, titles are shortened to each site's limit, not rewritten for each site, so put the words buyers search for at the start.
Check your stock suits Etsy before you send it there. Etsy says reselling is not allowed except for handpicked items such as vintage, and its vintage policy means at least 20 years old. A modern item you bought to sell on belongs on eBay or your own shop, not Etsy. Our guide to cross listing between eBay and Etsy goes through both directions step by step.
eBay sets out when you should register as a business seller on its own Seller Centre page, so read it there; we have not checked its exact wording and will not paraphrase it.
Start with eBay's page on business accounts. What we can say from the pages we did check:
This is also where Artifactly's fit changes. If you are clearing your own loft, you may not need listing software at all. If you buy stock to sell on every week, that is who this page is for.
Private sellers pay no final value fee and get 300 free listings a month. Business sellers pay a final value fee set by category, plus £0.30 or £0.40 per order and a 0.35% regulatory operating fee.
| Private seller | Business seller | |
|---|---|---|
| Final value fee | None | Set by category, for example Clothes, Shoes & Accessories 11.9%, Music 9.9%, Collectables 10.9%, Antiques 10.9% |
| Per order fee | See eBay's private seller page | £0.30 on orders of £10 or less, £0.40 on orders over £10 |
| Regulatory operating fee | See eBay's private seller page | 0.35% |
| Listing fees | 300 free listings a month, then 35p each | See eBay's business seller page |
A worked example: a business seller in Antiques selling one item for £100, postage included, pays 10.9% (£10.90) plus £0.40 plus 0.35% (£0.35), which is £11.65. A private seller selling the same item pays no final value fee.
Coins are charged 10.9% on the part up to £450 per item, with a lower rate above that; check eBay's business fee page for the rest. That page was updated on 30 September 2026, and fees change, so check it before you set prices. Remember too that Artifactly keeps one price on every site, so price for the most expensive place you sell.
eBay's AI helps you write listings on eBay. Artifactly drafts one listing and publishes it to eBay, Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce, then takes the others down when it sells.
eBay has its own selling with AI help. If eBay is the only place you will ever sell, try it first; you may not need anything else. The difference shows up the moment you sell in more than one place:
| eBay's AI help | Artifactly | |
|---|---|---|
| Where the listing goes | eBay | eBay, Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce directly; other sites by copy and paste |
| When it sells | eBay handles its own listing | Ends, removes, archives or drafts the listings on the other connected sites |
| Who the AI was written for | See eBay's page | Antique and vintage stock, with instructions written by working dealers |
| Other jobs | See eBay's page | Background removal, virtual staging, the Global Shipment Manager (courier rates, packaging labels, customs paperwork and tracking updates to buyers), a shared inbox for buyer messages |
Artifactly checks eBay and Etsy for sales about every 5 minutes; when the last one sells, it ends the eBay listing, removes the Etsy listing, archives the Shopify product and sets the WooCommerce product to draft.
If you have more than one in stock, the count goes down on the other sites and the listings stay live. That matters on eBay, which allows only one fixed-price listing of an identical item at a time: list identical items once with a quantity, not as several listings.
Checking every few minutes is not the same as being told the moment it sells. There is a short window in which a piece could sell on two sites, so keep an eye on anything valuable. Sales on Ready-to-List sites such as Vinted or Facebook Marketplace are not checked at all; mark those sold by hand.
One more eBay rule to keep in mind when copying descriptions in from your own shop: eBay listings cannot contain links to sites outside eBay.
Yes, once you reach £1,707 or 30 sales in a year, but eBay says the report does not change your tax obligations.
| Rule | What it says | Source |
|---|---|---|
| eBay reports you | £1,707 of sales or 30 sales a year | eBay UK |
| Etsy reports you | 30 or more physical-goods transactions or about £1,700 a calendar year | Etsy |
| Selling your own unwanted things | Probably no Income Tax; a single item sold for over £6,000 may bring Capital Gains Tax | GOV.UK |
| Buying to resell | This is trading; over the £1,000 trading allowance you must tell HMRC | GOV.UK |
| Being reported | A report does not by itself mean tax is owed | GOV.UK |
So the "£1,000 rule" people search for is the trading allowance of £1,000 a tax year, and it is about trading income, not about one site's sales count. The platform figures are when eBay and Etsy tell HMRC, not when tax starts. If you resell, keep your own records of what you bought and sold, because HMRC may get a report from each site.

It is built for one-off antique, vintage and second-hand pieces, so several things eBay resellers often want are missing today.
If most of your sales are on Vinted, which charges sellers no fees (Vinted UK), Artifactly will help more once the direct connection arrives. If you also run your own shop, see the page for small businesses, or browse all seller types.
No. Artifactly publishes eBay listings as fixed price, Good 'Til Cancelled. If you sell some pieces by auction, list those on eBay yourself and use Artifactly for your fixed-price stock.
Yes. You import your eBay listings, see a preview and pick the items by SKU. The import brings the title, SKU, price, all photos at large size, the description with its HTML removed, condition, weight and dimensions. Stock quantity is not imported, and listings with 0 available are skipped. Item specifics come across only for listings made through eBay's Inventory API, not ordinary Seller Hub listings.
One eBay site per account, chosen in Integrations. eBay UK is the default, and the others on offer are the US, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia and Canada.
Vinted is Ready-to-List: Artifactly prepares the listing for you to copy and paste, and you mark it sold there by hand. A direct Vinted connection is coming soon, waiting on Vinted's API. Depop is not supported.
Not inside Artifactly. One price is shared by every marketplace, so set a price that works after the higher of the fees you pay.
