0:00Sizes from the description
This video carries on down the Upload Item window: the sizes and weight, where the piece is kept, and its antique details. We have typed a title and a short description with the sizes in it, as in video seven. Here is Measurements, in centimetres. Because the description gave the sizes, the empty width, height and depth boxes have been filled in for you, and the line under the heading says what was filled. Check them, and change any that are wrong. AI Extract from Description reads the sizes from the description whenever you press it. Sizes written in the usual ways are read straight away; if it cannot find them, it asks the AI. No measurements needed is a switch for pieces where sizes do not matter. Turn it on and width, height, depth and seat height are hidden, and the Catalog Checkup stops asking for them. Weight stays, for postage. We will turn it off again. Width, Height, Depth and Seat Height take a number each. Seat height is for chairs, stools and sofas.
1:12AI weight estimate
Weight is in kilograms. The small round button in the weight box is AI Estimate Weight. With the width, height and depth filled in, it estimates the weight from the sizes, the material and the kind of piece. The estimate goes into the weight box, with a short reason underneath, and the Weight Class is set to match. It is an estimate: weigh the piece if you can, and type the real weight over it. Weight Class is a rough band for couriers: light, medium, heavy, very heavy, or pallet required.
1:48Postage size suggestion
Postage Size picks the postage for this piece: large letter, small parcel, medium parcel or courier. It decides which of your own eBay postage policies, Etsy shipping profiles and WooCommerce shipping classes the piece uses. You choose those once, in Postage on the Command Room. Underneath, a suggestion is worked out from the sizes and weight, with room for packing, against Royal Mail's own size limits. A sideboard this big is too big for a parcel, so it suggests courier. Press Use it to take the suggestion.
2:22Where it is kept
Next, Where It Is. Place is where the piece is kept: here, the demo shop's showroom, warehouse and antiques centre stand. Shelf or Spot narrows it down, for example a shelf or a bay. At the bottom of the Place list, Add a new place makes a new one there and then. Once the piece is saved, this part also shows Print this item's label, and a History of every move.
2:50Antique and collectible details
Next, Antique and Collectible Specifics, used by eBay, Etsy and Vinterior. The word in square brackets on a label says which marketplace asks for that box. Designer is for Vinterior, and Brand or Maker is for eBay. Period or Era and Place of Origin each have a list, and a dotted box under it where you can type your own if it is not in the list. Original or Repro tells eBay whether the piece is an original or a reproduction. Style Classification is the design style, grouped by period, with its own dotted box. Room Context is the room it suits, for Etsy, and Shipping Size is the parcel size for Vinted. Time Period Manufactured is required by eBay. When AI Auto-Fill fills any of these boxes, the label is tagged Check sources or Not verified, as video seven showed.
3:55Materials, colour and condition
Structural Materiality covers what the piece is made of: Primary and Secondary Material, Wood Tone, and Handle Material for eBay. Then Primary and Secondary Colour, the Condition Level, the Restoration Grade, and the V.A.T Rate for the piece. Detailed Condition Report is for the wear, marks and any restoration, in your own words. Vinterior and Pamono rely on it.
4:26Sets, stock and parts
Component Breakdown counts the parts. Set Quantity is how many pieces make one set, for example two for a pair. It is not your stock. In Stock is how many you have. Leave it empty for a one off. With more than one, a sale lowers the count and your listings stay live. Then Diameter, for round pieces, and the number of Drawers, Cupboards, Doors and Shelves, and whether Assembly is needed.
4:56Google product category
Google Product Taxonomy Mapping is the Google Shopping category path, written like the example in the box: furniture, then cabinets, then sideboards. It goes to Google Shopping with the piece. That is the middle of the form. We will press Cancel, so the piece is not saved. The next video covers the marketplace details and the photos.
