Import eBay, Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce listings
8:02 · Watch on YouTube
Connect Shopify, eBay, Etsy or WooCommerce to Artifactly, step by step: what you need first, what to press, and what happens in the marketplace's own window, and for Shopify, in Shopify itself. For WooCommerce, where to make the API key, from WooCommerce's own help page.
Then bring in what is already for sale: Import lists only your live listings and never brings a piece in twice, Link live listings matches pieces from a spreadsheet by SKU, and Upload sends your pieces out.
About this video: The screens are the real Artifactly app, recorded on a demo shop with made-up stock and no marketplace connected, so the steps after Connect are shown on note cards. The voice is computer-generated.
Questions this video answers
How do I import my eBay and Etsy listings into Artifactly?
Import brings in what you already have for sale there. Once a card shows Live, it has new buttons: Import, Upload, and Link live listings, and Disconnect at the bottom. The pieces arrive in Inventory Control as active pieces, already marked live on that marketplace.
Where do I make a WooCommerce Consumer Key and Consumer Secret?
Then go to WooCommerce, Settings, Advanced, REST API, and press Create an API key, or Add Key. Copy the Consumer Key and the Consumer Secret straight away.
Will importing my listings make duplicates?
Nothing comes in twice. And on every marketplace, a listing that matches a piece you have, by its listing number or its SKU, updates that piece instead of making a second one. On eBay, pieces Artifactly thinks you already have are left out of the list and not ticked; a button shows them if you want to look.

0:00Before you start
This video connects your shops to Artifactly, and brings in the pieces you already have for sale there. Artifactly connects directly to four: Shopify, eBay, Etsy and WooCommerce. We take them in the order they sit on the screen, then what to do once a shop is connected. Before you start, finish your Business Profile: your business name, email, phone and address. Your listings and your paperwork use them, and Upload Item will not open without them. If any are missing, a yellow banner here says so, with a Go to Profile button. The demo shop's profile is complete, so there is no banner. Sales Channels holds the four cards. Each says Offline until it is connected, and Live once it is. The demo shop has nothing connected, and in this video we never press Connect, so nothing is changed.
0:52Connect Shopify
Shopify first. You need the Dealer plan or above, because Shopify and WooCommerce are not on the plans below it. On those plans the card says Connecting Shopify needs the Dealer plan. There is no box to type your shop's address, and no Connect button. As the card says, a new Shopify shop connects from Shopify: you install Artifactly from the Shopify App Store or your Shopify admin, then press Link to Artifactly on the page that opens. Here is what happens next, in Shopify. Shopify asks you to approve what Artifactly needs: your products, your stock, your orders and your sales channels. Then Artifactly opens inside your Shopify admin, on a page with a Link to Artifactly button. Press Link to Artifactly, and Artifactly opens in a new tab. Sign in, or create your account, and your shop is linked to it. Only the owner of an Artifactly account can link a shop. This card then shows Live, with your shop address under its name, and Shopify tells Artifactly about each sale the moment it happens. If this account had a Shopify shop before, the card shows a Reconnect button with that shop's address instead. Press it, and approve Artifactly again in the Shopify window that opens.
2:05Connect eBay, region and instant sales
Next, eBay. You need your eBay seller account and its sign in. There is no box to fill in: you press Connect eBay. A small window opens on eBay's own sign in page. Sign in to your seller account, and agree to what Artifactly asks for: your listings, your business policies, your orders, and messages about your sales. The window says eBay connected, and closes, and the card shows Live. If no window opens at all, your browser has blocked it, and Artifactly says so. Allow pop-ups for this site, then press Connect again. A Live eBay card has two parts of its own. Marketplace Region is your eBay site: UK, US, Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Italy or Spain. Until you choose, it follows the country in your Business Profile address, or the UK. Choose one and press Save, and new listings use that site. The card warns that changing it may mean updating your eBay business policies. And Instant sales. Artifactly tries to turn it on when you connect. When it says On, eBay tells Artifactly about a paid sale straight away, so the piece comes off your other marketplaces sooner. If it is not on, the line says what to do: press Turn on, or connect eBay once more. Sales are still found every five minutes either way.
3:27Connect Etsy
Etsy works the same way. You need your Etsy shop and its sign in. Press Connect Etsy. A small window opens on Etsy's own page. Sign in, and allow Artifactly to read, update and remove your listings, to read your shop details, and to read your sales. The window says Etsy Connected, and closes, and the card shows Live.
3:47Make a WooCommerce API key
Last, WooCommerce, for your own website shop. It needs the Dealer plan or above too. There is no sign in window. Instead, you make a key in your WooCommerce shop, and paste it here. So first, the key. This is from WooCommerce's own help page. Sign in to your WordPress dashboard. Go to Settings, then Permalinks, and check it is set to any choice except Plain. Then go to WooCommerce, Settings, Advanced, REST API, and press Create an API key, or Add Key. Give it a Description, such as Artifactly, and choose your user. Set Permissions to Read/Write. Artifactly needs both: it reads your products, sends pieces to your shop, and takes a piece off sale when it sells. Press Generate API Key. Copy the Consumer Key and the Consumer Secret straight away. WooCommerce shows the secret only once.
4:44Connect WooCommerce
Back in Artifactly, type your shop's web address in the first box. Paste the Consumer Key in the second box. It starts with c k underscore. Then the Consumer Secret in the third. It starts with c s underscore. Then you would press Connect. All three boxes must be filled in. Artifactly checks the key with your shop straight away. If it works, the boxes clear and the card shows Live. If not, a red message under the boxes says what is wrong.
5:14Import what is already live
Once a card shows Live, it has new buttons: Import, Upload, and Link live listings, and Disconnect at the bottom. The demo shop has nothing connected, so this note shows them, in the order you will use them. Import brings in what you already have for sale there. It reads the listings that are live in that shop now, and lists them in a window, each with its photo, SKU and price. Nothing comes in twice. On eBay, pieces Artifactly thinks you already have are left out of the list and not ticked; a button shows them if you want to look. And on every marketplace, a listing that matches a piece you have, by its listing number or its SKU, updates that piece instead of making a second one. Your own title and price are kept. Type in the filter box to find a piece by its title or SKU. Untick any you do not want, or use Select All. Then press the button at the bottom. It shows the number and the marketplace, such as Import 12 from eBay. The pieces arrive in Inventory Control as active pieces, already marked live on that marketplace. A message says how many are new, how many were updated, and any not saved, with the first reason.
6:27Link live listings by SKU
Link live listings is for pieces you brought in from a spreadsheet, such as an export from another tool, that are already for sale on that marketplace. It matches each live listing to your piece by its SKU and records the link. Then Artifactly never lists it twice, and a sale there ends your other listings. It checks first, and saves nothing. It shows how many pieces can be linked, and lists anything it will not touch, such as a piece sold in Artifactly but still live there. Download the full list saves the whole report as a file. Press Link, with the number, to save the links. Linking marks those pieces active. It publishes nothing, and changes nothing on the marketplace.
7:08Upload and Disconnect
Upload works the other way. It lists your active pieces that are not on that marketplace yet, all ticked. If you have listing templates, you can choose one. Pressing Push, with the number, sends the ticked pieces to that marketplace to go on sale, so check the list first. And Disconnect, at the bottom of a Live card, stops using that connection.
7:30Postage after connecting
One more step once eBay, Etsy or WooCommerce is connected. On the Command Room, under Postage, press Refresh. It reads your own eBay postage policies, Etsy shipping profiles and WooCommerce shipping classes, so you can choose one for each postage size. Here it says nothing is connected yet. That is how to connect your shops and bring in what is already live. The next video lists a new piece from start to finish, from the AI description to saving it.
