Your first day: sign up and list your first piece
5:36 · Watch on YouTube
Your first day with Artifactly, in order: what a new account sees, the free trial, the Welcome banner and Quick Setup, then four steps to your first piece.
Your Business Profile, your postage sizes, connecting your marketplaces or bringing in your stock, listing your first piece, where help is, and the sign in screen: Create Account and Forgot password.
About this video: The screens are the real Artifactly app, recorded on a demo shop with made-up stock. The trial banners and the Welcome banner are shown on walkthrough note cards, because the demo shop already has a plan and a finished profile. No account was created and no email was sent. The voice is computer-generated.
Questions this video answers
How do I get started with Artifactly?
Here is a good order for your first day. One, your Business Profile. Two, your postage sizes. Three, connect your marketplaces, or bring in your stock. Four, list your first piece.
What do I need to set up before I can upload a piece?
Six boxes must be filled in before Upload Item will open: Business Name, Contact Email, Phone, Address Line 1, City and Postcode. Until they are, Upload Item brings you back here, with a message asking you to complete your business profile.
How long is the Artifactly free trial, and what happens when it ends?
It lasts fourteen days, and you are not asked for a card. If the trial ends with no plan chosen, a red banner says your subscription has lapsed, and Upload Item is greyed out until you choose one.
How do I reset my Artifactly password?
Forgot password? is under the password box. Press it, type your email address and press Send Reset Link, and the screen says a reset link is on its way to your inbox. Open the link in that email, and the app asks for your new password.

0:00What this video covers
This video is your first day with Artifactly. First, what you see once you have signed up. Then four steps to your first piece, and where to find help. Last, the sign in screen itself: creating your account, and what to do if you forget your password.
0:19Your free trial
Your free trial starts the moment you create your account. It lasts fourteen days, and you are not asked for a card. While it runs, a banner under the top bar says how many days are left, with See plans beside it. In the last seven days the banner turns amber, with Choose a Plan. If the trial ends with no plan chosen, a red banner says your subscription has lapsed, and Upload Item is greyed out until you choose one. The demo shop already has a plan, so this note stands in for those banners.
0:52Welcome banner and Quick Setup
You start on the Command Room. A new shop sees a purple banner at the top, Welcome to Artifactly, until the Business Profile is complete. Its Get Started button takes you straight down to the profile. The demo shop's profile is already complete, so the banner is not showing here. Below it is Quick Setup: five steps, each ticked when it is done. Complete business profile, connect a sales channel, connect your Google account, add social media links, and upload your first product. Press a step that is not done to go straight to it. The box goes away once all five are done. Here is a good order for your first day. One, your Business Profile. Two, your postage sizes. Three, connect your marketplaces, or bring in your stock. Four, list your first piece.
1:42Step one: your Business Profile
Step one, your Business Profile, further down the Command Room. If you typed a store name when you signed up, it is already filled in as your Business Name. Six boxes must be filled in before Upload Item will open: Business Name, Contact Email, Phone, Address Line 1, City and Postcode. Until they are, Upload Item brings you back here, with a message asking you to complete your business profile. Then press Save Profile, at the top, so your details are kept. Video three goes through every box on the profile.
2:17Step two: postage sizes
Step two, Postage, also on the Command Room. There are four sizes: Large letter, Small parcel, Medium parcel and Courier. Each piece gets one of these sizes on its own form. Before anything is connected, you can write a postage note for each size, such as Royal Mail Tracked 48. The note is shown with your pieces in the copy and paste assistant. Once you connect eBay, Etsy or WooCommerce, press Refresh, and choose which of your own postage settings each size uses. Then press Save postage choices. Video four shows it all.
2:57Step three: marketplaces or your stock
Step three. If you already sell on Shopify, eBay, Etsy or WooCommerce, connect them on Marketplace Integrations, under Sales Channels. Quick Setup ticks its second step once one is connected. Video twenty seven shows how to connect them. If your stock is in another tool or a spreadsheet, Bulk Import, on Inventory Control, brings it in from a CSV or Excel file. Video twenty six shows how to move your stock across.
3:26Step four: your first piece
Step four, your first piece. Upload Item, at the top of every page, opens the window for a new piece. Or let the AI Curation Lab write the listing from a photo first. Video twenty five lists one piece from start to finish.
3:42Where to find help
Help is always there. Help, at the top, opens the guide for the page you are on. Show Guide, near the top of each page, opens the same help on the page itself, so you can read it while you work. And you can always email us, at support@artifactlystudio.com. The address is at the bottom of the menu, and Need Help?, near the bottom of the Command Room, has an Email Support Team button.
4:10Create your account
Last, the sign in screen. Sign Out, at the top, signs you out and brings you to it. We press it now. The sign in screen opens on Get Started, the tab for a new account. Type your business or store name, your email address, and a password of at least six characters. Then tick the box to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Create Account stays greyed out until it is ticked. In this video we do not press it. The screen then says: Account created! Check your email to confirm, then sign in. Open that email and confirm your address. If you try to sign in first, the screen says your email is not confirmed yet, with a button to send the confirmation email again.
4:55Sign in and forgotten passwords
Once you have confirmed, use the Sign In tab: your email and your password, then Sign In. Your first sign in opens the Command Room, with your free trial already running. Forgot password? is under the password box. Press it, type your email address and press Send Reset Link, and the screen says a reset link is on its way to your inbox. Back to Sign In takes you back. Open the link in that email, and the app asks for your new password. Type it in both boxes and press Save new password. Next, video one shows you your way round the whole app.
