5:05 · Watch on YouTube
Artifactly gives every place you keep stock its own QR label: scan the place with your phone, then scan a piece and press Move here.
This video also sets your four postage sizes against your own eBay postage policies, Etsy shipping profiles and WooCommerce classes, and shows Recently deleted.
About this video: The screens are the real Artifactly app, recorded on a demo shop with made-up stock. The voice is computer-generated.
Questions this video answers
How do I track where each antique is kept?
Next is Places: where your stock is, such as home, your unit or a centre stand. You give each piece a place on its form, or many at once from Inventory. Each place shows its name, its kind, and how many pieces are there.
How do QR stock labels work in Artifactly?
Each label has a QR code, the place name, and the words: Scan, then scan each piece to move it here. Artifactly opens, and your phone remembers that place for the next 30 minutes. You see the piece and where it is now, with Move here and the place you scanned, so moving it takes one tap.
How do I set postage for eBay and Etsy in one place?
Postage sets what each postage size uses on each marketplace. Once one is connected, each size gets a box for each connected marketplace: your eBay postage policy, your Etsy shipping profile, or your WooCommerce shipping class. The choices come straight from your own account on that marketplace.

0:00Postage sizes explained
This video covers three parts of the Command Room: Postage, Places, and Recently deleted. Postage sets what each postage size uses on each marketplace. You give an item its size on its own form, under Measurements. The sizes follow Royal Mail's limits, for the packed parcel. There are four sizes. Large letter, up to 750 grams packed, for prints and flat ephemera. Small parcel, up to two kilos. Medium parcel, up to 20 kilos. And Courier, for anything bigger or heavier, such as furniture.
0:45Matching eBay, Etsy and WooCommerce postage
Refresh asks your connected marketplaces for their own lists. The demo shop has no eBay, Etsy or WooCommerce shop connected, so this line says so. Once one is connected, each size gets a box for each connected marketplace: your eBay postage policy, your Etsy shipping profile, or your WooCommerce shipping class. The choices come straight from your own account on that marketplace. Leave a box on Not chosen and Artifactly picks one by name, and warns you which one it used. If you later delete a choice on the marketplace, the box says it is no longer there. Postage note for copy-and-paste marketplaces is your own words for each size, such as Royal Mail Tracked 48. When you list by hand, the Ready-to-List assistant shows it as the Postage line. Listings already live on eBay and Etsy keep their postage. New listings use these choices, and WooCommerce products get the new class the next time they are sent. Save postage choices saves them. We will not press it here.
2:00Places: where your stock is
Next is Places: where your stock is, such as home, your unit or a centre stand. You give each piece a place on its form, or many at once from Inventory. To add a place, type its name in New place, then choose its Kind: Home, Unit or store room, Warehouse, Storage unit, Crate or tub, Antiques centre stand, Consignment shop, Restorer, With a client, or Other. Then press Add place. Each place shows its name, its kind, and how many pieces are there. Press the number to see those pieces in Inventory.
2:45Rename, label or archive a place
The printer button prints a label for that place. The pencil renames it: change the name, then press the tick to save it, or the cross to leave it as it was. The box button archives a place. It asks first, on the row itself: Archive this place? Its history is kept. If pieces are still marked as there, it says how many, so you can move them. Yes, archive archives the place. No leaves it as it was. We press No.
3:18QR labels and scanning with a phone
Print all place labels prints a label for every place at once. Each label has a QR code, the place name, and the words: Scan, then scan each piece to move it here. Each piece can have its own label too, from Print this item's label on its form, or Print Labels in Inventory. Here is what your phone shows when you scan a place label. Artifactly opens, and your phone remembers that place for the next 30 minutes. Then scan a piece's label. You see the piece and where it is now, with Move here and the place you scanned, so moving it takes one tap. Or choose Move to another place. Sold at the till is for a piece sold in person: it asks first, then marks it sold and ends it on every marketplace where it is live. Open the item opens it. We close this without changing anything.
4:17Recently deleted and Restore
Recently deleted appears here, between Places and Catalog Checkup, only when something has been deleted. The demo shop has nothing in it, so it is not showing. It lists the items deleted in the last 30 days, each with its photo, its title, when it was deleted and by whom, and its SKU. Restore puts an item back as it was. Its listings were ended when it was deleted, so press SYNC on it to list it again. Artifactly will not restore an item when one with the same SKU is already in your shop. That is Postage, Places and Recently deleted. The next video covers the Catalog Checkup and your social media links.
